Boys Basketball: Tengwall's 3-pointer at buzzer lifts NLS

MINNETONKA -- Erik Tengwall's three-pointer at the buzzer gave unbeaten New London-Spicer a 72-70 non-conference win over Sebeka in boys basketball action on Saturday.

Trailing 70-67, NLS's Jayme Moten drained a pair of free throws with :08 remaining to make it 70-69.

Tengwall came up with a steal in the backcourt and the Wildcats called timeout to set up one final play.

Moten drove the lane and then kicked the ball back out to Tengwall, who drained the shot from behind the arc to give the Wildcats the win.

The late shot overshadowed Aaron Johnson's solid game for NLS of 27 points and 13 rebounds. Aaron Jenny also had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Tengwall finished with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Joey Cuperus, John Clark and Cody Pulju had 15 points apiece for Sebeka.
