Boy's feet severed by train in St. Paul

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Police say a 9-year-old boy playing on, or near some train tracks in St. Paul has lost both his feet.

Authorities say a passing train severed the child's feet at the ankles. He was taken to Regions Hospital. His condition was not available.

St. Paul police spokesman Howie Padilla tells the Star Tribune ( http://bit.ly/16qL9UK) the investigation is ongoing, but no foul play is suspected. He says someone called 911 to report the accident about 6 p.m. Thursday.
