Boys golf: Dawson-Boyd lands 6 on All-Conference
The Dawson-Boyd boys golf team and the Minneota girls team won Camden Conference championships this spring.
Dawson-Boyd finished with 24 points. Lac qui Parle Valley had 19 points and won a tiebreaker with MACCRAY for second place. Canby was fourth with 14 points.
Dawson-Boyd’s Easton Popma was the conference MVP, and other area golfers on the boys all-conference team are: D-B’s Christian Thoen, Spencer Erickson, Cameron Kemen, Aaron Madson and Dalton Palmer; LQPV’s Riley Sigdahl and Hunter Lind; and MACCRAY’s Brady Madsen and Dean Schroeder.
The Minneota girls placed first with 24 points, followed by Candy with 21. Dawson-Boyd was third with 18 points and MACCRAY finished with 8 points and won a tiebreaker with Lakeview for fifth place.
Russell-Tyler-Ruthton’s Hannah Kruger was the conference MVP. MACCRAY’s Bailee Hauser placed third and LQPV’s Ali Dahle was fourth, both earning all-conference honors.
