Boys Hockey: Little Falls roars past Willmar, 8-1

LITTLE FALLS -- Ben Hanowski, the state's second all-time leading scorer, had a hat trick and an assist to lead the Little Falls Flyers past Willmar 8-1 in Central Lakes boys hockey on Tuesday.

The Flyers (7-0, 13-0) were 4-for-4 on the powerplay.

"They are a very skilled and talented team," said Willmar head coach Dan Tollefson. "We hung in there for one period. Ben Leitch had a good game; he saw lots of pucks."

Leitch stopped 45 Flyer shots in goal.

Trent Fader scored for Willmar (1-7, 4-9), a powerplay to open the third period.
