Boys swimming & diving: Steer qualifies for CLC finals

ALEXANDRIA — Willmar sophomore diver James Steer qualified for the Central Lakes Conference 1-meter diving finals with a 13th place finish in Thursday’s semifinals at the Discovery Middle School.
Steer placed 14th in the preliminaries with a score of 91.45. Steer scored 150.25 in the seminfinals.
Fergus Falls’ Michael Aasness led all divers with a 315.80 score in the semifinals.
The rest of the Cardinals swimming and diving team joins Steer at noon Saturday when the meet resumes at Discovery.
