GRANITE FALLS — The Benson Braves blanked Yellow Medicine East 7-0 to wrap up the West Central Conference boys tennis title on Tuesday with a 4-0 record.

All seven of the wins came in straight sets. Aaron Szczur at 2-singles, Eric Hoium at 4-singles and the 1-doubles tandem of Bradley Berens and Brandon Gosson didn’t lose a game in one of their sets.

The WCC individual tournament is Saturday at Montevideo starting at 9 a.m.

The teams split singles, but Montevideo claimed the top two doubles matches to edge the visitors.

Martin Moore and Tristan Voorhees teamed up to win 1-doubles and Connor Dann/Ryan Neville won 2-doubles for the Thunder Hawks, who are this year’s hosts for the individual conference tournament, which is Saturday starting at 9 a.m.

Jess Hansen won 6-1, 6-0 at 1-singles for Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd.
