Brandon's late basket gives Montevideo win over New London-Spicer
MONTEVIDEO -- Eric Brandon drove the length of the court in about five seconds and made a layup to give Montevideo a 69-67 win over New London-Spicer in non-conference boys basketball action Saturday.
The Wildcats, who trailed by seven points with about three minutes left, crawled back into the game by fouling the Thunder Hawks, who struggled from the free-throw line.
An Aaron Johnson basket for NLS tied the game with seven seconds left.
