Bulldogs' Bungum tosses no-hitter Saturday

Paynesville senior Josh Bungum was a walk away from pitching a perfect game Saturday as Bungum fired a no-hitter in a 6-0 Bulldogs' win at the Belle Plaine Invite.

Bungum struck out 13 and his walk was the only flaw in a bid for a perfect game as the Bulldogs didn't commit any errors in their win over Hinckley-Finlayson.

Paynesville fell 4-3 to Simley in its other tournament game.

The Bulldogs are now 1-2 on the season and play at Sauk Centre today in a West Central North Conference game.
