Roberts and Lieser open Happy Sol

NEW LONDON -- Stacey Roberts and Gina Lieser have opened The Happy Sol, the area's newest women's apparel and gift boutique, at 30 Main St. in downtown New London.

Roberts and Lieser previously worked together at United Way of West Central Minnesota and said they saw a growing need for quality fashionable and functional clothing for women. Life transitions brought them both to a new phase, and it was decided that The Happy Sol would begin.

"Gina and I knew we made a great team. When life demands took me away from United Way, we still wanted to have the opportunity to work together so we made the transition to The Happy Sol,'' Roberts said.

"We have both dreamed of owning our own business,'' Lieser said. "We understand each other's work ethic and strengths, we both have a passion to keep our area alive and we enjoy fun fashionable clothes. The Happy Sol was a natural fit."

Their goal is to provide a total shopping experience for women of all ages, bringing together unique clothing, gift items, jewelry and home décor in an environment that provides retail therapy that is good for the soul. Their vision is to provide excellent customer service while creating a total shopping experience that leaves customers feeling good about what they get.

Roberts and her husband, Eric, owner of Designed Environments, have lived in the area for the past 20 years and have four children. Lieser and her husband, Cole, live in Spicer.
