Magnuson joins Rice Home Medical

WILLMAR -- Pam Magnuson has joined Rice Home Medical in Willmar as a customer service representative.

Rice Home Medical sells and rents medical equipment and supplies to be used in the home.

Magnuson's previous experience includes five years with a satellite computing service and 10 years with the Willmar Public Schools. She is a graduate of the medical assistant program at Ridgewater College.

Magnuson is married and has three teenage boys.

Education

Eight providers from Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield recently completed the Comprehensive Advanced Life Support provider course. In addition, 11 providers completed an accompanying trauma module. The course was hosted by Meeker Memorial Hospital at Affiliated Community Medical Centers in Litchfield. About 4,000 doctors, nurses and other health care professionals in Minnesota are certified in CALS. The curriculum was developed to increase the skill level of rural hospital staff in providing advanced life support and airway management for critically ill or injured patients.

Award

Gil Warriner of Willmar, territory manager for Fort Dodge Animal Health of Overland Park, Kan., has received the company's prestigious 2008 President's Award. Warriner was recognized for outstanding sales performance. He has been a part of the Fort Dodge team since 1986. Fort Dodge, a division of Wyeth, is a global manufacturer of animal health products.

Going Places

Jill Rohman of Spicer was one of six staff members at Southwest/West Central Service Cooperative in Marshall to attend the 2009 Charting the Cs: First Annual Cross Categorical Conference held April 26-28 in Alexandria. The conference was for professionals working in the special education areas of assistive technology, deaf/blind, and developmental cognitive disabilities.
