Unicel adds cell site in Clara City

CLARA CITY -- Unicel has added a new cell site in Clara City to the company's wireless digital network, the company announces. Unicel said the cell site offers cellular coverage in town as well as along Highways 7 and 23.

Unicel provides wireless services in primarily rural areas and plans to continue to add new cell sites based on customer needs and geography. In the past year, Unicel added nine sites in southern Minnesota. These new developments bring the total number of CDMA-capable cellular sites in southern Minnesota to 125, giving residents, travelers and business people the benefits of an advanced network.

Unicel operates 11 retail stores in southern Minnesota, including the store at 1004 First St. S. in Willmar.

Sarah Hoidahl is ASB associate

GLENWOOD -- Sarah Hoidahl was recently named account executive working through American Solutions for Business in Glenwood. She has been with American Solutions for Business for 12 years, working at the home office with manufacturers and clients from across the country.

She will replace Brian Moser, who served approximately 600 area businesses. Hoidahl will be calling on clients who worked with Moser and will seek to find innovative solutions for new customers.

ASB is an distributor of printing, promotions, enterprise-wide document management solutions and e-commerce technology with approximately 600 sales associates and 100,000 clients, and had sales of $200 million in 2009.

Hoidahl said she was excited to meet Moser's clients and was ready to help new clients find solutions to their printing needs.

Steffensen joins Westberg Eischens

WILLMAR -- Travis W. Steffensen, CPA, has joined Westberg Eischens, PLLP, of Willmar as manager.

Steffensen joined the firm in January and has more than five years of accounting experience. He holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He has been a CPA since 2008, and is a member of the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants.

His responsibilities include oversight of audit, compilation and review engagements, income tax preparation, and staff development. He lives in Spicer with his wife, Kelsey, and two children.

Westberg Eischens, PLLP, provides personal service to help clients position themselves for financial success. The 18 staff members offer personal and business assurance and accounting, business development and consulting, tax accounting and audits, certified financial planning and legal consulting.

Business Awards

Ridgewater College has received the Excellence in Financial Management 2009 award from the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System. The award is given for significant contributions to increased efficiency and effectiveness of finances and administrative services throughout the institution. The award program, which began in 1997, recognizes the outstanding contributions of the system's college and university employees who work in finance and facilities management.
