Deseret Health Group brings significant experience. The company says that its management team has a proven record for converting distressed senior centers into successful, functioning facilities with high-quality senior and rehabilitative care.

Newly hired administrator Denise Becker, a graduate of Cardinal Stritch University with a master's in health care administration, has 16 years of experience in social work and seven years experience as a health care administrator.

After months of planning and the recent transition, Becker is confident that the new management will provide an added value to the center's residents, staff and citizens of Willmar and surrounding areas.

"Our focus is to assure our community that with this change their loved ones will be cared for in a manner that is compassionate, respectful and of the highest quality," Becker said.

Willmar Care Center offers customized care plans for every resident with a variety of services including 24-hour nursing care, physical, occupational and speech therapy; restorative programs; wound care and bariatric care.

Deseret Health Group operates 20 nursing homes in Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska and Utah.

Certification

Affiliated Community Medical Center announces that Kendall Bos, M.D., an internist at ACMC in Willmar, recently passed the fall 2010 maintenance of certification examination given by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Recertification means that internists have demonstrated to their peers and to the public that they have the clinical judgment, skills and attitudes essential for the delivery of excellent patient care.

The American Board of Internal Medicine is a nonprofit, independent evaluation organization, one of 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties which establish common standards for physicians to achieve and maintain certification.
