Toni Sing joins Taatjes Financial
WILLMAR -- Toni Sing has joined Ben Taatjes in Taatjes Financial Group as a client relationship manager. She brings more than 11 years experience in financial services. Her previous employer was Bremer Bank. Sing lives in Willmar with her husband, Tayler, and three children.

Cindy Bjur joins Janning ENT
WILLMAR -- Cindy Bjur, a licensed audiologist, has joined Janning ENT Center LLC, 1801 19th Ave. S.W., in Willmar. Whirlwind selects Acterra Group for its wind project
ATWATER -- Whirlwind Energy LLC, a community wind energy company in Atwater, has selected the Acterra Group Inc., of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to manage the development of the Kandiyohi County wind project.
The Whirlwind project will be a 48-megawatt wind farm comprised of up to 24 turbines, collection lines, a substation, transmission interconnection, meteorological tower and associated roads.
"Whirlwind Energy is excited to take the next step by hiring Acterra to manage the development of this project," Stan Simon of Whirlwind Energy said. "As we work toward a construction date we will continue to release information about the project. We feel it is important to keep the community informed about the economic benefits of this project. Jan Donohue is actively working with land owners on Whirlwind's behalf and now we have Acterra on board to get the project up and running."
Acterra is providing development, financing, and construction services for the wind energy project.
Affiliated Community Medical Centers announces that Spanish interpreter Coleen Swanson has successfully passed written and oral examinations and was recently awarded the credential of certified medical interpreter by the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters.
The certification ensures patient safety for those with limited English proficiency.

- Terry and Dave Quam, owners of Quam Construction of Willmar, are among 12 national finalists for Contractor of the Year 2011, sponsored by construction equipment manufacturer Caterpillar and construction trade magazine Equipment World.
Each finalist is selected on the basis of company achievements, endorsements from customers and vendors and the contributions the company has made to the construction industry.
Quam Construction specializes in a variety of markets including sewer, water, excavation and demolition, and snow removal.
