Rice Home Medical hires Day

WILLMAR -- Amanda Day of Raymond has been hired as administrative assistant at Rice Home Medical, 1033 19th Ave. S.W. in Willmar. Rice Home Medical is a medical equipment company that sells and rents equipment and supplies for use in the home.

Day attended Ridgewater College in the legal administration assistant program and worked at Anderson and Burgett law firm in Willmar before joining Rice Home Medical.

Day lives in Raymond with her two children.

Business seminar May 6 in Morton

MORTON -- Jeff Tobe, named one of the top 15 speakers in North America by Convention & Meetings magazine, will discuss management improvement during a business seminar, "Coloring Outside the Lines: Creative Problem-solving Management 2011,'' from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 6 at Jackpot Junction Convention Center in Morton. Registration is from 8:30-9 a.m.

Tobe believes that customer service is no longer the bar that distinguishes business competitors. Such things as internal and external customers' experiences must also be considered. He wrote "Coloring Outside the Lines" and co-wrote "The Sales Coach" and "The Communication Coach." He will discuss other topics.

Roger Heller, accredited farm and land broker of Heller Group, 1 Stop Realty Inc. in Olivia, attended the "Landing the Deal" National Land Conference of the Realtors Land Institute held March 24-25 in Nashville, Tenn. The annual conference, which is attended by the leading land professionals across the country, included programs on the latest trends and issues facing real estate land specialists.
