Gjerde joins United FCS

WILLMAR -- Kent Gjerde recently joined United FCS as a financial services officer in the Willmar office. As a relationship manager, he will be serving the business needs of agricultural producers and businesses in the area by providing credit, financial services, and crop insurance solutions to meet the changing needs and challenges of the industry.

Gjerde earned a bachelor of elective studies degree with an emphasis on finance from St. Cloud State University. He grew up on a dairy farm and has been an agricultural loan officer and insurance agent for the past six years. He and his wife reside in Willmar, where he actively serves in civic volunteer roles.

United FCS is a member of the Farm Credit System, a nationwide network of banks and retail lending associations chartered to support the borrowing needs of U.S. agriculture and the nation's rural economy.

United FCS provides financial services through 12 branch offices and 193 employees in a 22-county area in west central Minnesota and north central Wisconsin.

Allen is Bennett network engineer

WILLMAR -- Paul Allen of Granite Falls has joined the team at Bennett Office Technologies as a network engineer. He graduated from Minnesota West in 2004 with an associate degree in applied science for computer support technician. He has seven years of experience in the field.

Anderson joins Willmar law firm

WILLMAR -- The law firm of Anderson Larson Hanson & Saunders of Willmar announces that James Anderson has joined the firm. Anderson is a native of Willmar and a graduate of St. Cloud State University.

He earned his law degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in 2007 and was admitted to practice law in the State of Minnesota that same year. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota and Minnesota Bankruptcy Court.

His practice focuses on estate planning, probate, bankruptcy and municipal matters. Anderson is married and has one child. He is an avid golfer, hunter and ice fisherman.

Mansukhani to practice at ACMC

WILLMAR -- Affiliated Community Medical Center announced that Meghna Mansukhani, M.D., a family medicine and sleep medicine physician, will begin practicing at ACMC-Willmar in September.

Mansukhani will provide comprehensive medical care for families as a whole, and as individual members, caring for patients from birth to advanced age.

She also sees all types of patients with sleep problems including: insomnia, shift work, narcolepsy, restless legs, excessive daytime sleepiness, parasomnia and sleep apnea.

After receiving her medical degree from Osmania Medical College in India, Mansukhani recently completed her residency in the Family Medicine Residency Program at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, and her fellowship in sleep medicine at Mayo Clinic.

Rental workshop Aug. 15 in Willmar

WILLMAR -- The Minnesota Multi Housing Association will hold a workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 15 at Bremer Bank in Willmar on leasing and closing skills for managers of rental property. Participants will learn practical and effective strategies for every step in the sales process.

Affiliated Community Medical Center in Willmar has received a Governor's Safety Award from the Minnesota Safety Council for superior performance in workplace safety and health. ACMC is one of 168 employers that were recognized at the Governor's Safety Awards luncheon in Minneapolis.
