Candidates file for west central Minnesota school boards

Four candidates have filed to run for the Benson School Board this fall.

Incumbents Jeff Guest, Bill McGeary and Alan Pagel have filed, along with Gary Williams, who is running for the first time.

Benson has four school board positions that expire at the end of the year. Board member Dennis McManus has said he will not run for another term.

Filing for school districts and smaller cities continues through 5 p.m. Aug. 14.

In the Minnewaska Area School District, Bob Mork of Lowry has filed for the board. He is currently filling a vacant position on that board.

In the BOLD district, four positions are up for election and two incumbents have filed. Alan Haney of Olivia and Jeff Benson of Olivia are seeking re-election.

In the Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City School District, Joel Gratz has filed.
