Carlson expecting to play on Sunday

Seattle Seahawks tight end John Carlson, a native of Litchfield, told the Tribune that he is expecting to play Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.

Carlson, in his third NFL season, strained his hip flexor last week in practice and missed last Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers.

Carlson has 25 receptions for 257 yards and one touchdown this season for Seattle.
