Cause of Monday night fire at MinnWest campus undetermined

WILLMAR — Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of a Monday evening fire that burned a vacant building on the MinnWest Technology Campus in Willmar.

According to Willmar Fire Chief Gary Hendrickson, the fire was reported just after 9 p.m. Monday when it was spotted by a Willmar Police officer.

By the time the first Willmar fire engine arrived, there was heavy fire coming through the roof of the 1705 building, which was vacant but was undergoing renovations.
