WILLMAR -- Central Lakes showed Ridgewater why it's the No. 4-ranked team in NJCAA Division III men's basketball Wednesday, pasting the Warriors 78-49 in an MCAC Southern Division matchup.

The Raiders (3-0, 18-0) displayed the depth of their bench with four players scoring in double digits and four with at least five rebounds.

And Central Lakes is fast. Within the first minute of the game, the Raiders had a 6-0 lead. The Warriors (0-2, 9-5) scored the next four points to get close.

But Ridgewater couldn't find its shooting touch, connecting on just eight (of 34) in the first half and eight more (of 37) in the second to finish with a frosty 22.5-percent night.

"You've just got to play the best game of your life and shoot the ball well," said Ridgewater coach Bob Knutson.

Nash Faulk scored 17 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to pace the Raiders. Marcus Ayala added 15 points, followed by Maurice Hernandez and Kendall Brown with 12 each.

Nathan Nietfeld recorded a double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds for the Warriors. Tyler Stein chipped in nine points. Adam Sadlemyer and Andy Kalenberg grabbed six rebounds apiece.
