Chamber of Commerce plans to address city council on sales tax in Willmar, Minn.

WILLMAR -- The Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce will address the City Council Monday night about the local option sales tax.

The council will receive the Chamber's presentation during the regular meeting at 7 p.m. in the Municipal Utilities Building auditorium.

In other business, the city council will hold a public hearing on 2011 street and other improvements and hold a hearing on a request to vacate a utility easement.

Shelly Houde of CenterPoint Energy will make a partnership grant presentation, and the council will take comments from the public during the open forum.

Also on the agenda will be reports from the Finance Committee, the Public Works/Safety Committee, the Labor Relations Committee and the Community Development Committee.
