Chance of snow and sleet tonight, blowing snow Thursday
WILLMAR — The National Weather Service is forecasting sunny skies today with a high near 39 and south-southeast wind of 5 to 15 mph.
Conditions are forecast to change tonight with a 40-percent chance of snow and sleet after 3 a.m., a mostly cloudy sky, and wind gusts as high as 25 mph.
On Thursday, the chance of snow remains at 40 percent with areas of blowing snow. The sky will be cloudy, the high near 32, and breezy west-northwest winds 5 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon.
Widespread blowing snow and 20 percent chance of precipitation are forecast before 9 p.m. Thursday night. High during the day will be near 32, falling to around 6 degrees. Blustery, with a northwest wind 20 to 25 mph, gusting as high as 35 mph.
On Friday, look for patchy blowing snow between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. It will be mostly sunny, with a high near 14, and west-northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, gusting as high as 30 mph.
