This afternoon is expected to be mostly cloudy with a high near 80, and there's a 20 percent chance of showers, according to information from the National Weather Service.

Thunderstorms will also be possible late Friday afternoon through Saturday evening. Some of the Friday storms could be severe in areas of southwestern and west central Minnesota, and one-inch hail is possible Friday.

Thunderstorms will again be possible from Sunday night through Wednesday, although it is too early to say if they could be severe, according to the Weather Service.

Tonight, there's 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 7 p.m. The low will be around 67. Rainfall totals would be expected to be one-tenth to one-quarter of an inch, with more rain possible in areas with thunderstorms.
