An open house was held Monday at Kandiyohi County's new rescue squad building on Lakeland Avenue Southwest in Willmar. The 20 members of the county's rescue squad and their spouses were treated to a banquet at the building to celebrate the completion of the $1.15 million facility and to recognize the volunteers for their service. The facility was then opened up for the public to tour. The rescue squad had previously been using a converted bus garage to store equipment. Tribune photo by Gary Miller
