Childress meets with Favre in Mississippi

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) -- Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress is in Mississippi trying to find out if Brett Favre has made up his mind about playing this season.

Training camp for the Vikings is set to open in 11 days and it's doubtful if anyone in the Vikings organization expects Favre to be in Mankato for the start of training camp. Several players have said they would not be surprised if he didn't attend training camp, but would still play this season.
