City Council to meet Monday

WILLMAR -- The Willmar City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Municipal Utilities Building, 700 Litchfield Ave. S.W.

The council will hold a hearing at 7:02 p.m. on an ordinance to amend the City Charter and will hold a hearing at 7:05 p.m. on an order assessing the $10,557 cost of removing a hazardous structure at 201 Havana St. N.E.

The council will receive reports from the Finance Committee, Public Works/Safety Committee and Community Development Committee.

Among other items, the council will consider deferment of special assessments for senior citizens or disabled persons, and consider currency exchange applications from Quick Funds Inc., and Bennett Ventures Inc., doing business as Checks Cashed and Payday Loans.
