City Council to meet Monday

WILLMAR -- The Willmar City Council will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday in the chambers at the Municipal Utilities Building, 700 Litchfield Ave. S.W.

The council will consider an ordinance to rezone property owned by Craig Leis from R-2 (one-family and two-family residential) to limited business.

The council will receive a presentation for the Yellow Ribbon City designation and proclaim October as Domestic Violence Awareness month.

The council will receive comments from the public during the open forum, and will receive reports from the Finance Committee and Public Works/Safety Committee.

The council will consider the final plat of Cambridge Second Addition, appoint election judges for the Nov. 2 election, consider unpaid utility charges as a lien against property, and hold a closed session to discuss wastewater treatment plant land mediation.
