Clara City Police investigate 11 early morning burglaries
CLARA CITY -- The Clara City Police Department is investigating burglaries at 11 homes early Friday morning.
Police Officer David Olson said no one was hurt and there was no forced entry; all the homes were unlocked at the time. The occupants were asleep during the burglaries and were not aware that their homes had been entered or valuables taken until after they woke up.
Olson said garages and vehicles in the garages were also unlocked and were also burglarized.
The police department is investigating to determine the number of individuals responsible for the burglaries and the number of valuables that were taken.
Olson could not say if the burglaries are associated with other early morning burglaries in the region during which homes were entered while the occupants were sleeping.
Olson advises homeowners to lock the doors and windows on their homes, garages and vehicles.
