Clarence Pederson April 24, 1910 - May 21, 2009
MADISON -- Clarence Levi Pederson, 99, of Madison, died Thursday.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bellingham. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Zahrbock Funeral Home in Madison and for one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
He was born April 24, 1910, in rural Louisburg to Ludvig and Tilda (Larson) Pederson. He attended rural school in District 42 of Lake Shore Township, Lac qui Parle County.
He married Lillian Schumacher on Oct. 27, 1934, in Watertown, S.D. They worked for the Trygestad family and in 1935 they started farming on their own northeast of Bellingham. They moved to a farm near Appleton and also near Montevideo and then bought a farm near Carrington, N.D. in 1950. They farmed and lived there until their retirement in 1970, when they moved to Otter Tail Lake near Fergus Falls. He moved to Madison in 1998.
He was preceded in death by his wife on Oct. 11, 1998; three brothers and two sisters.
