MORRIS -- Clifford William Skoglund, 97, of Morris, died Wednesday at Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Donnelly. Burial will be in Vinger Cemetery in Donnelly.
Visitation will be for one hour before the service at the church. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is handling arrangements.
He was born Feb. 12, 1912, in St. Paul to Carl and Signey (Peterson) Skoglund. He grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Roosevelt High School. He moved to Spruce Hill Township and began farming with his parents when he was 16.
He married Clara Lusty on May 14, 1941, in Spruce Hill Township. They farmed until 1974 when he retired. They lived in Donnelly until 1994, when they moved to Morris.
He served on the Spruce Hill Township board, the school board and Spruce Hill Lutheran Church board.
He is survived by one daughter: Joan (and Floyd) Miller of Donnelly; one son: Keith (and Dawn) Skoglund of Shakopee; daughter-in-law: Joanne Skoglund of Savage; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Myrtle Arvidson of Parkers Prairie and Loretta Johnson of Clarissa; and one brother: Paul Skoglund of Crystal.
He was preceded in death by his wife on May 27, 2005, and one son: Ronald Skoglund.
