The funds will make possible a two-phased building project to expand and modernize the school facilities in Prinsburg.

Constituents voted Oct. 29 to authorize the project. Nearly $2 million in additional funds have been raised since the capital campaign became public in early November.

Once the campaign raised $3.6 million, or 60 percent of the Phase I cost, it was able to enter into an agreement with Marcus Construction Company as general contractor. The firm of Widseth, Smith, and Nolting of Alexandria has been selected to provide architectural and engineering services.

Groundbreaking is tentatively set for July 4th during Prinsburg's city celebration. Construction will only be undertaken if the funds are raised in their entirety.
