DETROIT - Think your holiday travel plans are tough? Imagine being a Mayflower descendant who's been bumped from Detroit's annual Thanksgiving parade.

June Gorman, governor and historian of the Society of Mayflower Descendants in Michigan, tells The Detroit News she thought Thursday's 1.5-mile trek down Woodward Avenue would be a perfect match for the nonprofit group with more than 500 Michigan members.
