GLENWOOD -- Colleen Carrie Olsen, 58, of Starbuck died Friday at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Starbuck Funeral Home and will continue for one hour prior to the service.
She was born Dec. 23, 1949, in Superior, Wis., to Richard I. and Louella (Lego) Anderson. She graduated from Grand Marais High School in 1967. She graduated from Bemidji State University in 1971 with a bachelor's degree in education.
She married Larry G. Olsen on June 19, 1971. She moved to Starbuck in 1971 and taught physical education at Starbuck High School until 1976. She was most recently employed at Minnewaska Area High School where she served as a teacher's assistant at the fifth- and sixth-grade levels.
She is survived by her three daughters: Marcy (and Joe) Alexander of Starbuck, Carrie (and Josh) Majerus of Glenwood and Laree (and Ryan) Robards of Glenwood; four grandsons; her father; siblings: Rick Anderson of Grand Portage and Collette Pederson of Grand Marais, and her special friend: Maclaren "Mac" Pennie of Villard.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
