MINNEAPOLIS -- The Ridgewater baseball team dropped a late-night doubleheader with Itasca Tuesday, falling 5-2 and 9-5 after the Minnesota Twins' comeback victory over the Seattle Mariners at the Metrodome.

The Warriors (5-9) were hurt by not being able to get runners home. Ridgewater stranded 19 baserunners overall and had the bases loaded twice in each game.

First game

Itasca 5, Ridgewater 2

Jake Wahl's single in the first gave the Warriors a 1-0 lead until Itasca tied it in the fourth, then took a 5-0 lead with four runs in the fifth.

Matt Christensen walked with bases loaded for Ridgewater's last run in the fifth. Wahl finished with two hits. Tyler Kanten took the loss, allowing five runs on seven hits in 4Zc innings.

Second game

Itasca 9, Ridgewater 5

Christianson's two-run triple and Travis Radermacher's sacrifice fly in the second tied the game at 3-3, but Itasca plated five runs in the fifth to pull away. Ridgewater scored a run in the fourth on James Gilbertson's sacrifice fly and another in the sixth on a single by Kyle Burg.

Adam Luberts paced the Warriors with two hits. Bobby Tyndall took the loss in relief, allowing five runs -- only one earned -- in 1Xc innings.
