College Baseball: Ridgewater splits two 1-run games

DODGERTOWN, Fla. -- The Ridgewater baseball team split its games Monday on its Florida trip.

The Warriors (3-4) lost to Heartland (Ill.) 2-1, then beat Muhlenburg (Pa.) 5-4.

Ridgewater starting pitcher Cody Conners shut out Heartland, which is ranked No. 2 in NJCAA Division II, for five innings. But a bunt single started a two-run rally for Heartland, which held on to win.

Against Muhlenburg, Kelvin Nelson picked up the win and Luke Frauendienst, Cameron Lehner, Austen Hadley and Nelson got two hits each.

Ridgewater continues its trip with one game scheduled today.
