Ridgewater finishes its season with a 13-17 overall record.

The Warriors entered the day up 1-0 in the best-of-three series after a 7-6 win on Friday.

Game Two on Saturday saw the two teams fight to a 4-4 tie before the game was suspended after nine innings and completed on Sunday.

Three errors by shortstop Mike Nielsen in the top of the 11th inning allowed four runs to score and Rochester pulled out an 8-5 win.

In Game Three, the teams were again tied in the late innings.

Deadlocked at 1-1, Ridgewater's Taylor Gonyea hit a go-ahead three-run home run in the top of the seventh to give the Warriors a 4-1 lead.

But Rochester rallied in the bottom of the seventh with four straight hits off Jordan Ruter to score four runs and take a 5-4 win.

"Kind of a tough way to end your season," head coach Dennis Boe said. "We just put a pitch where we shouldn't have put it. That's the way it goes and we have to live with it."

Adam Brewers pitched nine innings for the Warriors to help keep the game tied at four until it was suspended because of weather.

Jake Rambow took over when the game was resumed. He pitched a scoreless 10th before allowing two two-out singles in the 11th.

Mike Nielsen, who took over at shortstop with the normal shortstop Rambow on the mound, dropped a line drive, misplayed a ground ball and made a throwing error, and Rochester pushed across four runs to put the game away.

Ridgewater scored four in the third inning and one in the bottom of the 11th.

Trent Berg was 2-for-5 with two RBIs.

Jason Shaul and Taylor Gonyea also had RBIs in the game.
