Anoka-Ramsey 69, Ridgewater 63

WILLMAR — The Ridgewater women’s basketball team let a 14-point first-half lead slip away and lost to Anoka-Ramsey 69-63 on Saturday at the Ridgewater College gym.

The Warriors had a 35-21 lead late in the half and took a 10-point lead into their halftime locker room.

Anoka-Ramsey didn’t do anything special to spark the comeback — hitting just 3-of-20 3-point shots overall — but did outscore the Ridgewater bench 14-0 and shot 48 percent in the second half, during which the Warriors were outscored 44-28.

“To be up 14 against the No. 3-ranked team in the national (NJCAA Division III), that was great,” said Ridgewater coach Carrie Ogdahl. “We ran out of steam. Their leading scorer — the conference’s leading scorer — Olivia Antilla had 4 points at half and finished with 28. They can turn it on at anytime.”

Ridgewater’s Rachel Ampe had 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Raeann Sorenson finished with 16 points and 8 boards. Jessie Kalenberg and Courtney Kramer both scored 12 points.
