Ridgewater (3-8) led 27-26 at the end of the first half, but couldn't hold on.

"There were eight lead changes and nine ties," said Ridgewater coach Carrie Ogdahl. "They were up 10 points on us in the second half and we fought back to take the lead."

Willmar native Shantel Kelly led the Lady Warriors with 18 points and 7 rebounds and sank three 3-pointers.

Cameo McNeley added 11 points for Ridgewater, and Alicia Koenen had 5 points and 10 rebounds.

Jessica Dvergsten led Itasca (6-6) with 23 points and Randa Glazier had 18 rebounds.

"We didn't shoot the ball well," Ogdahl said. "We had six or seven shots that were down the net and back out."

The Lady Warriors suffered a big loss at the beginning of the second half when guard Annie Winter was hit in the nose and had to leave the game.

Ogdahl said Winter was feeling symptoms of a concussion, but nothing was confirmed yet.

Ridgewater plays its next game against Mesabi Range at 11 a.m. today in Grand Rapids.
