College Basketball: Lockett nets 25 points to pace Warriors' win

ST. CLOUD -- Terrance Lockett scored 25 points to lead Ridgewater College (2-0) to an 81-67 win over the Mayville State JV on Saturday at the Whitney Center.

The 6-foot freshman from West Palm Beach, Fla., drained 3 of 4 three-point tries.

Coach Bob Knutson used all 14 players and 12 of them scored. Neil Helgeson trailed Lockett with 13 points.

Besides Lockett, starters were Melvin Kromah, Jake Rambow, Jordan Schwarz and Beau Herrig, who led with 12 rebounds. Brady Herrig pulled in another 11 rebounds.

The Warriors host Mesabi Range at 8 p.m. on Friday in their home opener.

The Ridgewater women also play at home Friday as they will face Association Free Lutheran Bible School at 6 p.m. to open their season.
