College Football: Ridgewater opens at Mesabi Range on Saturday
Two teams coming off 2011 state tournament semifinal appearances meet in Virginia Saturday to raise the curtain on the Minnesota College Athletic Conference football season.

Ridgewater College beat Mesabi Range 17-14 in Week 2 a year ago at Willmar. The Norsemen list 11 starters back from a 5-5 season.
The Warriors (6-4 last fall) will host Vermilion in their home opener Sept. 1.
