Fergus Falls Overview

Fergus needs a win here to avoid sinking any further in the points race for a postseason berth. This is a two-point game since it's a South Division feud. After an 0-2 start, the Spartans won up at Ely 27-26 playing winless Vermilion. They played without injured RB Hayden Zenner (30 carries-122 yards). Jake Schauer has rushed for 189 yards in 35 tries (5.4 yards per carry). QB Jarod Mold has tossed for 272 yards at a 44.4 percent completion clip with 2 TDs. Wayne Davis has 10 catches.

Ridgewater Overview

The Warriors lost starting RB Batelmy Exil for the season on the second play at Northland with an MCL/PCL tear. "He's a good kid who has worked so hard," said head coach Rob Baumgarn. "But we'll be all right with Martell Baker [39-213-5.5], Tyrell Martin and DeAndre Henry." Plus, quarterback Cody Jaeger has carried for 85 yards including 15 times vs. Northland for minus yardage. Exil had picked up 225 yards with a 7.8 average in two games, plus two carries last Saturday. The Warriors are averaging 346 yards per game; they rushed 54 times at Thief River Falls without a turnover. Up front, making it all possible, are guards Cody Roseau and Davis Marvel, center Mike Schultz, and tackles Daniel Stuewe and Jordan Barge. After three road games in the first four weeks, Ridgewater is back home next Saturday vs. Minnesota West, the first of three games at Willmar's Hodapp Field the next four Saturdays.
