St. Thomas defeated Concordia College 21-7 Saturday for its third straight MIAC football title. The win was also its 26th straight in conference games.

In St. Paul, St. John's crushed Hamline 55-10. Josh Bungum (Paynesville) caught a 30-yard scoring pass from Nick Martin (Wayzata) and Jake Essler (New London-Spicer) scored twice on 3-yard runs to help the Johnnies build a 24-3 halftime lead.

In the NSIC, the Minnesota State-Mankato Mavericks (10-0) clinched a share of the NSIC title with a 27-13 win over Sioux Falls Saturday in Mankato. The Mavericks are rated No. 6 in NCAA Division II. In Duluth, the Bulldogs chomped down on the University of Mary, Bismarck, N.D., 55-14 for their 39th consecutive NSIC home victory.
