College Football: Warriors pad up for 2014 season

Following three days of conditioning, the Ridgewater College Warriors donned pads Monday for the first time for a late afternoon practice at the lower fields in Willmar. The offense, in red, drilled on passing, here with Jeremiah Grimsley, a second-year player from Waconia, taking snaps. The defense, in black, breaks for water about an hour into practice. Coach Rob Baumgarn said about 80 players are in camp. The Warriors scrimmage at Crown College on Aug. 22 and will open the season Aug. 30 hosting Itasca College of Grand Rapids at 1:30 p.m. on Hodapp Field.
