College football: Warriors, wind blow up Northland
THIEF RIVER FALLS -- Ridgewater overcame 30 mph winds and a likely season-ending injury to running back Batelmy Exil to upend Northland 14-7 on Saturday in Thief River Falls.
"This was one of the most difficult games I've ever been a part of," Ridgewater head coach Rob Baumgarn said.
The game was tied 0-0 at the half, and Baumgarn told his team that the first drive of the second half was huge because they had the ball and the wind.
