Tyler Pendleton, a 6-foot freshman guard, canned 6-of-6 free throws in the last 1:15 in his only trips to the line for Ridgewater (5-2).

His younger brother, Zak Pendleton, a 5-6 freshman guard, made 1-of-2 free throws in the last minute.

Northland led 25-24 at halftime; the teams exchanged one-point leads most of the second half until Zak Pendleton cashed two free throws for a 50-47 Warriors lead at 3:27. Jake Rambow's rebound basket put Ridgewater up 52-47 at 2:40 and a Cody Warner defensive rebound at the other end forced the Pioneers to begin fouling.

Warner, a 6-5 freshman, finished with team-highs of 13 points and 8 rebounds.

Ridgewater coach Bob Knudson used all 14 players on his long bench with 12 logging at least 8 minutes.

Ridgewater shot just 32 percent in winning for the second time in two days following a Wednesday night loss at Wahpeton, N.D. The Warriors get another shot at beating North Dakota State College of Science at home on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Northland (3-5), which lost by two at Minnesota West on Friday, got a game-high 15 points from forward Zac Creviston, who fouled out with four minutes left when Rambow drew an offensive foul.
