College Softball: 30 hits only gets Ridgewater a split

ST. CLOUD — The Ridgewater College softball team outhit the St. Cloud Cyclones 30-18 but settled for a split on Tuesday at Rivers Edge Field, losing 11-10 in the opener and later winning 9-7.

The Lady Warriors (7-3, 14-7) now prepare for the six-team MCAC Southern Division playoffs starting Friday in Waite Park. The top three finishers will advance to the Region 13A playoff.

Jessie Kalenberg had four hits in the nightcap and Brielle Hauge slugged a homer among her four hits. The Cyclones are 8-2 in division games and 19-9 overall.
