College Softball: Early spring special

It's only mid-March, but the Ridgewater Lady Warriors softball team found accommodating 60-degree weather for the defending MCAC champions' second outdoor practice in Minnesota after playing eight games in Florida earlier in the month.

In the photograph, batter Jenna Kincade, a freshman third baseman from Paynesville, hits a ground ball to short on a delivery by sophomore pitcher Andrea Krause. The catcher is freshman Brenna Holwerda of Danube (BOLD H.S.). The Warriors play three games in the Irish Dome at Rosemount next Thursday.
