College softball: Four Warriors named to MCAC South teams

Four members of the Ridgewater softball team were named to the MCAC South All-Division teams Monday.

Pitcher Andrea Krause and outfielder Brooke Carlson were named to the first team. Infielder Kari Shipman and pitcher/infielder Brittany Nissen made the second team.

Ridgewater coach Todd Thorstad was also named Coach of the Year.

Krause, Carlson, Nissen and Aimee Johnson were named to the 13A All-Tournament team and Carlson won the tournament MVP.

Ridgewater seeded No. 6 in national tournament

The Warriors, who were seeded sixth in the eight-team national tournament, open against No. 3-seed Anne Arundel Community College (Md.) noon Thursday at Rochester.
