College Women's Basketball: Warriors lose to Minn. West

WORTHINGTON — A big advantage at the free throw line helped Minnesota West edge the Ridgewater women’s basketball team 68-65 on Saturday.

Ridgewater hit five more shots from the field and hit 11-of-14 free throws. But MW was sent to the line 31 times and dropped 21.

“The girls played their hearts out,” said Ridgewater head coach Carrie Ogdahl. “That may be the best 40 minutes of basketball we played this season. It’s too bad they couldn’t be rewarded with a ‘W’ ”
