College wrestling: 5 pins for Van Heuveln at SJU meet

COLLEGEVILLE — Ridgewater College sophomore Klinton Van Heuveln won five matches and lost one to place third at 141 pounds at the North Country Open hosted by St. John’s University.
The Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg graduate pinned five opponents from four-year colleges.
He stuck foes from Dickinson State (at 1:30), Augsburg (3:21), Pacific (5:31), MSU-Moorhead (1:53) and Tom Kuehn of Augsburg in the third-place match at 6:30.
His loss came in the semifinals to Minnesota Gopher Thane Antczak by decision, 4-1.
Van Heuveln was the only Warrior to place. Trevor Mahlum, also a KMS graduate, went 2-2.
