College wrestling: Steinhaus wins, but Gophers fall to Iowa in tiebreaker

The Minnesota Gophers lost their first Big 10 Conference wrestling match 16-15 to the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday at Williams Arena.
No. 5 ranked 184-pounder Kevin Steinhaus of Pennock (KMS High School) nudged Ethan Lofthouse 6-3 during a late four-match rally that saw the Gophers overcome a 15-3 deficit and tie the match 15-15 (the minimum team score) on a 2-0 decision by Tony Nelson at 285.
The rivals, wrestling before a screaming crowd of 9,000, won five matches each. Total match points won proved the decider, 41-33.
